No more CDs sliding around your car — Alpine designed the iDA-X305 digital media receiver to make it easy to use an iPod in your car. Use the over-sized jog dial and full-color 2.2″ display to locate your favorite tunes, and you’ll feel like you’re using the iPod itself. It’ll even display album art from your iPod. Once they’re connected, the Alpine bypasses your iPod’s built-in digital-to-analog converter, using its premium Burr-Brown DAC to deliver your music files with the highest fidelity possible.

Simple iPod navigation and control
The big jog dial in the middle works just like an iPod’s click wheel. Turn it a little to access Search mode, then scroll line-by-line. Turn and hold the knob to move to Alphabet Search mode — now you can scroll through the alphabet to blaze through your lists of artists, albums, or songs. The current song keeps playing, so you won’t interrupt the music while you’re searching. The convenient “Back” button lets you backtrack through the menus, instead of starting over from the top.

Play your other digital files, too
Put your favorite MP3, WMA, and AAC files on a thumb drive, and you’ve got an easy way to stock up on tunes for your next road trip. Or play another USB-equipped music player through the USB slot.

Flexible system-building options
This versatile stereo works with all of Alpine’s peripheral gear, including satellite radio, auxiliary input adapter, add-on USB input, or CD changer. Add an HD Radio™ tuner, and you can “tag” songs you hear on an HD Radio broadcast for purchasing later in iTunes™. With Alpine’s optional KCE-400BT Bluetooth® interface, you’ll be able to answer or place a call with a touch of a button. You can also stream music from a music phone or Bluetooth-capable music player.

Three sets of preamp outputs simplify setting up a system with external amplifiers and subs, and you’ll appreciate the ability to control the subwoofer’s output level from the stereo. For the best possible sound quality, add Alpine’s PXA-H100 IMPRINT sound processor and KTX-H100 tuning kit — the IMPRINT measures your car’s acoustics and adjusts the stereo’s settings automatically to create a perfect audio environment.

It plays all of your CDs, even discs loaded with MP3, WMA, and AAC files, and delivers in the style department too. The striking Alpine design includes a detachable flip-down faceplate, blue button illumination, and a 2-line, dot matrix display that really shows off your song titles.Building a system? You can connect your external amplifiers to the three sets of preamp outputs, then control the audio performance with Bass Engine® sound shaping, which even lets you manage your subwoofer system from the driver’s seat. Once your sub is hooked up, you can maximize system performance by using the built-in high-pass filters to remove low bass from your speakers.

Hook up your iPod® using Alpine’s optional interface cable, and you’ll be able to access and control your music collection with the stereo’s controls. Alpine’s unique Percentage Search feature lets you jump through your playlist quickly, so you can find the song you want without a lot of fuss.

Just add Alpine’s optional “Full Speed” connection cable to gain fast, complete access to your iPod®. The percentage search feature lets you find your music files quickly: each of the six radio preset buttons jumps over a designated percentage (0, 17, 33, 50, 67, or 83 percent) of your playlist.Instead of normal bass and treble controls, the Bass Engine® feature lets you select which bass and treble frequencies you want to adjust, so that you can do a better job of tuning the sound. Connect a powered subwoofer to the set of preamp outputs, and Bass Engine also lets you adjust the bass level from the stereo. Alpine goes a step further by including a high-pass filter to block the low bass that your regular speakers can’t handle.

The MRP-M450 mono subwoofer amplifier will power your subwoofer with 220 watts of power. Add a second sub and the MRP-M450 pumps out 400 watts of power — enough to get almost any car shaking. The variable low-pass filter adjusts the frequency output to match your system, while the Bass EQ lets you dial in some extra boost on the lows. A subsonic filter eliminates inaudible, ultra-low bass notes for cleaner output. The amp’s machined-metal heatsink keeps the internal parts cool and distortion low even when you’re cranking the volume. Gold-plated screw terminals and RCA connections resist corrosion that can degrade signal performance.

These small-but-mighty amps free up valuable space and run so cool they can be stacked together for a sweet multi-amp setup.

The PDX-2.150 2-channel amplifier supplies 150 watts of full-range power to each channel, plenty of power for the most demanding component speaker systems or most subs. Beefy internal components and clever engineering keep the power output strong and the noise low for superb fidelity and control. Adjustable frequency filters tailor the amp’s output to your specific system.

Front-mounted controls make post-installation adjustments a snap. Gold-plated RCA inputs and power connections resist corrosion and signal degradation. Nifty speaker wire plugs ensure a tight connection and guarantee that your speakers work in unison.

Alpine is the first to take the next step in the satellite radio revolution — the CDA-9820XM CD receiver features a built-in XM Satellite Radio tuner! That means no more “black box” for you to buy and install to get 100 channels of entertainment at your fingertips. Just add an XM antenna and subscribe! Surfing the XM dial is easy with Alpine’s Quick Search keys: dedicated buttons for XM enable you to find the channel you want fast — search by category or channel.

Alpine’s Bass Engine® lets you pick which bass and treble frequencies get adjusted, choose how wide or narrow the bass boost is, and adjust the subwoofer level. The result is music that’s better tailored to your vehicle’s interior.

To ensure good sound, Alpine adds MediaXpander™ to the Bass Engine sound controls. Different settings for radio and CD listening let MediaXpander bring more energy and life out of the music as best befits the source.

Built-in MOSFET power will propel music through your speakers with intense depth and detail. Two sets of preamp outputs enable you to expand your car audio system over time to include component amps for your speakers and subs. Plus, with XM built in, it’s easier to add a CD changer or auxiliary source.

Proving that DVD technology isn’t just for video, Alpine’s DVA-9965 DVD player makes an outstanding all-around in-dash stereo. It looks fantastic, offers user-friendly controls, plays a wide variety of formats, and includes some impressive features. Of course, it’s a great video receiver, too — just add an external monitor, and you’ll be able to keep the folks in back entertained for miles on end.

Alpine dedicated the DVA-9965’s internal components to pristine sound reproduction. To maximize sound quality and minimize system noise, there’s no internal amplifier — you’ll need external amplification to power your car’s speakers. The preamp outputs send an extremely strong signal to your amps, so your music will sound fabulous and forceful.

You can play just about anything on the DVA-9965 — DVDs, CDs, and discs loaded with MP3s and WMAs files. You can even burn hundreds of files to a DVD, and enjoy up to 100 hours’ worth of music on a single disc. Alpine included its Quick Search feature, which lets you scroll quickly through your files and folders to find the song you want to hear, rather than making you wade through your disc, song by song.

Install an optional backseat video screen with some wireless headphones, and dual-zone mode lets you listen to the radio up front, while the kids watch a movie privately in back. Everybody wins.

You’ve got other options for entertainment, too. The built-in HD tuner lets you enjoy the dramatically improved reception of HD Radio broadcasts, where available. Add a satellite radio and subscribe to the service of your choice, and you’ll be treated to over 120 channels of the best on-air entertainment around. And with the optional Alpine iPod control interface, you can also play your iPod directly through the DVA-9965, view song titles and artist names on its display, and control most of your iPod’s functions right from your dash.

Alpine’s comprehensive Bass Engine® Pro sound controls help make your music and movie soundtracks sound their absolute best. MediaXpander can help “fill out” the sound of your digital music files, which can sometimes sound a little flat. You can even save your preferred sound settings at Alpine’s website, and burn them to CD. If you ever need to reset your settings, you can upload them instantly from your disc.

Alpine’s easy-to-read BioLite display complements your dash perfectly, and features exciting background animations. The GlideTouch™ strip replaces standard buttons to make system control easy — simply slide your finger over the strip and press the appropriate spots to make changes.

Alpine’s SWR-1242D 12″ subwoofer delivers impact bass that you can hear and feel. Alpine has taken the best features from its previous SWR Series subs and added the hottest technology for ground-pounding power and superb accuracy. The pulp cone has been reinforced with Kevlar® (the material used in bulletproof vests) for extra rigidity, so it won’t buckle under hard play. A rubber surround helps to maximize cone travel for deep bass, while withstanding the decay that can destroy a speaker. A redesigned thermal management system and aluminum airflow motor cover shed heat quickly for efficient operation and better power handling.

The 2″ dual 4-ohm voice coils are big enough to handle lots of power while offering system wiring flexibility. The tinsel leads are virtually unbreakable — they’re woven into the dual progressive Nomex spiders. An aluminum diecast frame provides a secure, non-resonant housing. The SWR-1242D is designed for use in sealed or ported enclosures.
