Kenwood Excelon KDC-X491 CD Receiver
The KDC-X491 CD receiver features a front-panel USB input for connecting — and controlling — your USB-capable portable music devices. Its powerful amplifer and premium digital-to-analog converter deliver crystal-clear sound for all of your tunes. Six preset tone curves give you quick sound changes, while a 3-band parametric equalizer offers fine tone adjustment. The stereo plays MP3, WMA, and AAC music files from disc. For fans of portable music players, Kenwood’s iPod® control adapter connects to the KDC-X491’s CD changer port, keeping its other inputs free for your other gear. Connect your audio player to the USB input, and you can even access any purchased music files stored in the Microsoft PlaysForSure™ format. You’ll also find a rear-mounted auxiliary input for connecting your non-USB music player.
If you have a larger system in mind, three sets of 4-volt preamp outputs make it easier to connect external amps and subwoofers. For optimum performance, you can manage your bass settings with the built-in subwoofer controls, and adjust the frequencies going to your various speakers with the high- and low-pass filters. You can also expand your listening options with a Kenwood HD Radio™ tuner or satellite radio.
